Description:
Beaver Creek Recreation Area is located on the north side of Beaver Bay on Lake Oahe west of Linton off of hwy 1804. Lake Oahe is formed behind Oahe Dam, which was part of the Flood Control Act of 1944, commonly called the Pick-Sloan Plan. There are two boat ramps located at Beaver Creek. The campground has a picnic shelter, fire rings, a swim beach, modern restrooms, vault toilets, sand volleyball court, playgrounds, horseshoe pits, fish cleaning station and a nature hiking trail. The boat ramp in the campground has 3 lanes for launching and 2 courtesy docks. The campground has RV and tent sites consisting of three modern loops with 45 electrical sites with 30 amp breakers. There are two primitive area in the recreation area containing 21 sites. There are water spigots located throughout the campground area for filling of water tanks.
