Camp Sherman Campground and Camping

Description:
If you haven't visited the Metolius River Area, you haven't seen Oregon. The river springs from its source, full blast. When you camp here make sure you visit the source referred to as the Head of the Metolius. The river stays at about the same flow throughout the year. Camp Sherman is the first campground that you come to after going through the town of Camp Sherman. Like other nearby campgrounds it is located right on the river. A bicycle is suggested as the best way to visit the area. Only fly-fishing is allowed on the Metolius. Camp Sherman is available for camping with reduced fees after the end of the season, but without reservations and with reduced facilities (no garbage pick-up or available water). Host is in the campground from about Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Alerts and Important Information This campground is open all year long. The camp fees are reduced to $12/night during the winter and early spring. Please note that there is an extra vehicle fee charged upon arrival. This fee is not included in your reservation. This fee is half of the daily camping fee.
