Fishing Tips for Big Lake
3/5/2012 2:00 PM
There is plenty of shore fishing spots here if you like doing that but there are also boats you can rent. The best baits are Power Bait, worms, corn, spinners, salmon eggs, crankbaits, Z-Rays, and Super Dupers. The best way to catch fish here is too have one rod with a slip sinker on the bottom baited with your favorite bait. With your second rod work spinners and other lures higher in the water column. The best time to fish is the morning, the evening, and before a big storm. During the summer the fish go to deep water where just about the only way to catch them is to troll spinners and crankbaits. You can also catch tons of nice fish by fly fishing the shoreline at night. Using a light to attract bugs is the best way to go about that. If you specifically want to catch cutthroats your baits should look like crayfish. The best time to catch huge trout is October and November before the snow. Good luck fishing!
