catfish

Went out around 8:30pm 2 days ago to get set up and catch live perch and small bait fish, about 2-3.5 inches long seemed to work great, stayed till about 4am, left with about a 12-15 lb channel cat, on a live perch, but me and my friend were running 2 poles each, baited with, live perch cutbait, and 1 wpole with all of the above.

Clinton Lake Fishing Tips

In Clinton Lake, there are numbers, size, and variety that will keep all fishermen happy. For crappie, use a VERY small jig head, like 1/16- 1/32 oz. Then put a minnow on the end and jig near brush piles and downed trees. For walleye try around the dam and along the breaks along the peninsula that forms in the middle of the lake. Try using crankbaits or a jig with live bait and troll. For large and small mouth, go into old river channels near the dam and find rocky areas. Try crankbaits or jigs.
