For bass look for breaking fish and throw topwater lures such as Zara Spooks, Sammy's, Flukes, Swimming Flukes and 4 inch swim baits. If there is no surface activity try a Texas or Carolina-rigged worm or jig worked deep at 15 to 30 feet off of secondary points in major coves.

Bass fishing is fair with only a few catches reported. Those fish that are biting are hanging close to the bottom on steep drop-offs near deep water. Use a Texas- or Carolina-rigged worm in green pumpkin or red shad and work it very slowly down the steep side of main lake points and rocky bluffs. Fish from 10 to about 30 feet down with jigs.
