Crankbaits fished along 45-degree banks are working well, as are smaller crankbaits and spinnerbaits fished in shallow cuts. Spoons, jerk baits and the Arkansas claw are all working on suspended deeper fish off points and in the middle of deeper creeks and cuts. A slowly fished football head jig or Carolina rig is working along the points as well.

Bass on Greers Ferry

  9/3/2012 7:00 AM

Bass will be shallow and feeding early, but will move out deep as the day progresses. Try to find schooling bass in the morning and late afternoon and throw a fluke to them in white or silver flake. Deep running crank baits work good mid-day.
