The water is low and clear. Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs fished around piers. Catfishing is fair on cut bait and nightcrawlers near brush. Bass can be caught on jigs near the channel on the main lake.

Crappie and catfish are the most abundant fish here. The daily limit for crappie is 50! Black and chartreuse jigs will get you that limit. Work them close to cypress tree and downed trees. Some anglers are tying lines to low limbs and rigging them with cut bait and nightcrawlers. The water quality is great here unlike most parts of this river. Good luck!
