Nice and Secluded!

Really good fishing on this small, secluded lake! Best access is on private property for a small fee. 4x4 only! And, yes, you must have a NC fishing license to fish here.

Waterville Lake

Yes Waterville Lake had and still does have a bit of a pollution problem, but the water quality has gotten a lot better in the past 5 years. I have had good luck fishing for decent smallmouth bass here.

Not for fishing

Most polluted lake ive ever fished and fish are NOT edible that said it is a good lake to kayak on and get a good look at the mountains as long as you don't mind all the trash floating around you. Don't even think about trying to swim in this water. Secluded and you often don't see anyone else on the lake except every now and then.
