Goose Point Campground and Camping

Description:
Goose Point Park is located on Philpott Lake, a deep, clear, pristine, 3000 acre impoundment with a natural shoreline and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park is adjacent to Fairystone State Park and Fairystone Farms Wildlife Management Area, which includes 5300 acres of public recreational lands. Goose Point Park offers camping facilities. Facilities include 63 campsites, 53 with electricity and water, one swim beach, one boat ramp, courtesy dock, fishing pier, two hot water shower houses, one sanitary dump stations, amphitheater, a playground and Park Attendant services

Alerts and Important Information Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. There is a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. Please register for the campsite during the booth hours 9:00 am - 10:00 pm. For additional information please call (276) 629-1847 or (276) 629-2703. A fee of $4.00 for extra vehicles will be collected at the campground. No Alcohol. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only. Site size and vehicle numbers are estimates not guarantees. Access road and park roads are hilly, winding narrow roads that may be difficult to navigate for larger RV's. The normal lake elevation at Philpott Lake during the summer months is 973.5 feet above sea level. Park also offers the use of a shelter as one of it's services. The park layout and campsite arrangements have changed due to a major renovation of the area.
