Stay home if you shoot stick and string
I also hunted an archery, rut week. I agree whole heartedly with what everyone has written about this outfitter. Only saw two bucks brought in on my week and they were well under the 125 minimum. Wondered why anyone would pay money and shoot something that small. By the end of the week I knew, as it would be the biggest deer that they saw. Cost them an additional $500 for their efforts. He states that this fee goes to the local church, but I have my doubts. Hunters were spending their hard earned money and shooting doe's. He rings you in with sponsorships. Should have called a few, doubt that they have a clue. Number of stands, frequency of use,and type. Did not see any Gorrilla products, but did set in a number of old ladder stands that looked like they had been there for years. Sat a couple of same stands twice, and not by request, nor did they have a positive outcome. His stand book is trash and fabricated. He claims a totally outrageous harvest/sighting percentage. I think he quoted me 121% up to my archery hunt for this year. I questioned the more than 100%, he stated that hunters were having multiple opportunities, but not being able to harvest the animals. Bold face lie on this one. You do not dump from 100+% to 0 in one week if you are reputable and know your business. Make this individual justify everything in writting and from an independent source. Saw the new ad campaign. They spend their money there, but it made me sick to think that good honest people would be taken advantage of. Don't know if hunting with a firearm would be better, but at least it would increase your effective range. Don't fall for his, this is just disgruntled hunters who stayed at camp and did not put in the time on stand garbage, or they want something. Put your money into a lease, this guy should be working in a dealership, or running for office.

Not the best Experience
Food, lodging and my guide was the only positive aspects of my hunt. Deer were few, with puny deformed racks, and not indicative of a quality deer mamagement program. Nutrition is there, but would have to question the genetics. The stand book is a farce, prepared by their staff. Would question the intergrity of the sightings, 100% plus or 120 class or greater deer, and how often stands are being set in. He sold me on the number of stands, over 400, and that stands were not hunted more than 3 times a year. My experience for the 5 days with 4 hunters, was that at least 3 stands were hunted twice during this period, and it was not because "Booners" were being seen. Stand placement in my opinion were tailored for the gun hunter and not bowhunters, as stands were 50+ yards away from obvious deer travel routes. Too many ladder stands without flip up seats, makes it difficult for bowhunters to stand, turn and shoot accuratly. Of the 20 some odd hunters that were there, few if any had positive things to say about their hunt. Of the rut week that I hunted there was not a P/Y deer harvested. Rumor had it that only 2 had been harvested since the start of the hunting season in September. A few left early. I hunted from sunrise to sunset and want nothing but to inform others about IMB. I would not consider coming here on a bowhunt. I spent a great deal of hard earned money and traveled a great distance to get there. I want anyone who is considering hunting with them to heed these warnings and to ask better questions than I did before booking their hunt.
