Jackson Flat Campground and Camping

Just a few miles outside the Los Angeles metro area, Jackson Flat Campground is located in the Angeles National Forest is great for a quick weekend getaway. The campground is just 10 miles from Wrightwood, CA at an elevation of 7500 feet. There are 5 group sites, set in the ponderosa pines woods near Jackson Lake. Campers can enjoy hiking, biking, and relaxing in the shade. It is close enough to Jackson Lake for campers to enjoy fishing, swimming and canoeing. The lake is kept stocked by the Fish & Game department. Only canoes and blow-up boats are allowed on the lake. The 5 group sites hold between 30 and 40 people. There is no parking in the sites; there is a central parking lot available near the entrance. There is a walk of approximately 600 ft to access all sites. Arrangements to drop of equipment can be made with the host on site. Firewood can be purchased on-site from the host. During hot and dry summer months, fire restrictions are common and campfires may be prohibited. Please check for current fire restrictions with the Angeles National Forest at (661)296-9710. The campground is open from mid-May to late-September. Reservations can be made up to one year in advance, but must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date.

Alerts and Important Information Extra vehicles will be charged a per day fee at the campground. There is no refund for bad weather. Late Arrivals: If you will be arriving more than more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, you must contact the campground or your reservation will be cancelled.
