About the Campground
Knutson Dam Campground is located six miles east of Cass Lake on U.S. Highway 2 and five miles north on County Road 10. Constructed by the Corps of Engineers, Knutson Dam was transferred to the Forest Service in 1926. Located on the northeast shore of Cass Lake, Knutson Dam campground is known for its canoe access to the Mississippi River. A fishing platform and boat ramps provide access to Cass Lake and the Mississippi River.

Alerts and Important Information
Beltrami County Road 39 is under construction. Customers coming from State Highway 2 south on Cass County 10 will experience delays and approximately 2.5 miles of gravel roads. Customers coming from the north from Blackduck on County Road 39 will need to find an alternate route using Beltrami County 12 via State Hwy 71. One camping unit per site. Additional units must pay the rate posted on the fee board. Firewood is available at the host site. Visitors are not allowed to bring their own firewood.
