Lake Campground and Camping

Description:
Just a few miles outside the Los Angeles metro area, Lake is located in the Angeles National Forest is great for a quick weekend getaway. The campground is just 5 and 1/2 miles from Wrightwood, on Jackson Lake. Sites are secluded with scattered oak trees for shade. Temperatures are usually in the low 80's on summer days with cool evenings. Activities include sightseeing, hiking, picnicking, fishing, boating and swimming. It is close enough to Jackson Lake for campers to enjoy fishing, swimming and canoeing. The Lake is kept stocked by the Fish & Game department. Only canoes and blow-up boats are allowed on the Lake. Lake Campground is open from late April to mid-November. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance, but must be made at least 4 days prior to your intended arrival date. There are 8 campsites total, some of these sites are available for first come first serve. Firewood can be purchased on-site from the host. During hot and dry summer months, fire restrictions are common and campfires may be prohibited. Please check for current fire restrictions with the Angeles National Forest at (661)296-9710. CAUTION: Bears frequent the area.

Alerts and Important Information There are first come first serve sites at this campground Extra vehicles will be charged a per day fee at the campground. There is no refund for bad weather. Bears frequent the area. All food must be kept in approved containers. Late Arrivals: If you will be arriving more than more than 24 hours after the start of your reservation, you must contact the campground or your reservation will be cancelled.
