Alerts and Important Information
Due to a landslide caused by the rainfall on May 2, the Big Bend Beach Road will be closed through the 2010 season. The Beach will be open this summer and is accessible via the Lakeshore Trail and by boat. Boat rentals are available Friday through Sunday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Sorry for the inconvenience. For more information, please call the Ironton Ranger District at 740-534-6500. Reservations must be made at least 5 days in advance. No more than two vehicles per campsite. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited. Picnic areas close at 10:00 p.m. Lake Vesuvius Furnace is a group picnic site with electricity. Golden Age/Access discount does not apply to group sites. Ohio Golden Buckeye Passport is not accepted. For more information, please call the Ironton Ranger District at 740-534-6500.
