Description:
Located approximately 12 miles north of Blanding, UT at the foot of the Abajo Mountains. Campground is situated at an elevation of 7000 feet amid Ponderosa pine and Gambel oak trees. Summer temperatures range from 80-90 degrees during the day and 55-65 degrees at night. Mule deer, wild turkeys, Abert?s squirrels, and the occasional black bear may be seen in the area. There are no hookups, but drinking water and vault toilets are provided. Firewood may be collected in and around the campground. Popular activities include hiking, wildlife viewing, and touring the Abajo Mountains. Other attractions in the area include Canyonlands, Arches, and Mesa Verde National Parks, Dark Canyon Wilderness, Edge of the Cedars State Park, and Lake Powell, as well as numerous archaeological sites.

Most campsites can accommodate 2 vehicles, if vehicles do not fit in parking space an additional campsite must be paid for to park vehicles. Golden Passports apply only to first vehicle.
