Salthouse Branch Campground and Camping

Description:
Salthouse Branch Park is located on Philpott Lake; a deep, clear water, pristine 3000 acre impoundment in mountainous terrain with a beautiful natural shoreline. The park is located in a rural and sparsely populated part of Franklin County, VA. near the small community of Henry. The park offers both camping and day use facilities that includes 93 campsites, 26 campsites with water and electricity, hot water, showerhouse, restrooms, swimming beaches, boat ramps, a courtesy dock, one sanitary dump station, a group picnic shelter, an amphitheater, a playground, a 1/2 mile loop nature trail and Park Attendant services. Alerts and Important Information Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. This campground requires a 2 night minimum stay on weekends. Campsites not reserved are available on a first come, first served basis. A fee of $4 for more than 2 vehicles will be collected at the campground. Please register for the campsite during booth hours 9:00 am to 10:00 pm. All equipment must fit on the site pad. Vehicles park in developed areas only. No alcohol.
