Description:
Storm Mountain is located up Cottonwood Canyon, 6 miles from Brighton at an elevation of 5200 feet. Nestled on the forested banks of Cottonwood Creek, this campground has access to fully stocked trout fishing. Hiking and picnicking are also popular activities.
Depending on snowfall, Storm Mountain is open May to September, some sites are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. There are 15 single sites and 3 group day use areas.

Alerts and Important Information
Storm Mountain is a day-use area only – there is no overnight camping allowed
Reservations must be made at least 3-days in advance
A $2 per person fee will be collected for vehicles holding more than 5 people
Site limits for people and vehicles are strictly enforced
Due to Storm Mountain being in a culinary watershed, no pets or livestock will be allowed. Swimming and wading is also not allowed
Please bring your own drinking water
A $3 per person fee will be collected for walk ins
