Description:
The Cordell Hull Tailwater Recreation Area is located just below Cordell Hull dam near the town of Carthage, TN. The lake itself is named for Cordell Hull, one of America's outstanding statesmen and one of Tennessee's finest volunteers who was born in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. Many visitors enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, and hiking. One picnic shelter is available for reservation. Alerts and Important Information Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Picnic shelters may be reserved for $50/day. Rivers are suject to turbulent waters during discharge periods. More information about this area may be obtained by calling (615) 735-1034.
