About the Campground
This primitive campground is located near Beaver Meadows Lake. Campsites are spacious, screened by vegetation, and shaded by a pine forest. Each campsite has a parking spur, tent pad, fire ring, and picnic table. Hiking, canoeing, wildlife viewing, picnicking, and berry picking are all popular activities. A playground, grass fields, vault toilets, and hand pumps are available at the campground, but showers and dumpstations are not. The toilets are accessible to people with disabilities. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance.
Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance. Reservations can only be made Memorial Day through Labor Day, but some sites are available on a first come, first served basis.
Thereafter, all campsites are only available on a first come first served basis.
No electrical, water, or sewage hook-ups are provided.
The roads are not paved.
All pets must be restrained within the campground, and livestock is not allowed.
Each campsite is limited to two vehicles, one wheeled camping unit, and one tent.
Additional vehicles will be charged and must park in public parking areas.
No motorboats are permitted on the lake.
No swimming is allowed.
Do not bring firewood from home to the Allegheny National Forest. Do not unwittingly spread the emerald ash borer, sirex wood wasp, hemlock woolly adelgid or other firewood borne invasive species. Possession of firewood from outside the area of the Allegheny National Forest is prohibited. Firewood is available at or near camping facilities.
