About the Campground

Ben Rover cabin is located 35 miles north of Columbia Falls, MT on the North Fork Road near Polebridge. Most of the year the cabin is accessible by driving. The water source is a well. Ben Rover cabin sits in the Whitefish Range of the Rocky Mountains. Ben Rover has rustic accommodations including propane cook stove, lights, heater, wood stove, well water, and vault toilet. Ben Rover's party size is eight with two double beds, one bunk bed, and two twin beds. Please pack out what you brought including your garbage. Grizzly Bears live in the area; store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside the cabin. Pets are not allowed at Ben Rover. Polebridge Merchentile is located 1/2 mile south of Ben Rover and has limited supplies. Commercial use of the cabin is prohibited (outfitter guides, groups or organizations with compensated leaders/chaperones)

Alerts and Important Information Extremely cold temperatures have caused frozen pipes this winter; please use wash basin for gray water, then dump down outhouse vault. Water is not available due to winter conditions. Please be prepared and bring your own. Grizzly bears live in the area, store your food, beverages, coolers, and garbage inside the cabin. Pets and livestock are not allowed at the cabin. Please Pack it in. Pack it out including garbage. Reservations can be made one day in advance and there is a three night maximum stay limit. Clean the cabin when you leave. Rental fee is $50 per night. For more information contact the Hungry Horse Glacier View Ranger District 406-387-3800 M-F 8am - 4:30pm Refunds will not be given due to inclement weather, road conditions, too much or little snow, etc. Check in and out time is 2pm. The combination to the cabin will be on your letter of confirmation from NRRS. Cabin can only be reserved up to 180 days in advance. Please help conserve propane by minimizing the lights you have on and keeping the thermostat to 55 when you are not in the cabin. The firewood provided is for heat only; please do not deplete the supply by using it for outside fires. Please refer to the over the snow motor vehicle use maps for designated snowmobile routes and play areas.
