About the Campground
Located in the diversely landscaped Siuslaw Nation Forest, this campground is just 60 feet in elevation, set among the cedars and Douglas fir on the Alsea River. Campers can enjoy fishing for several varieties of fish including, salmon, steelhead, and trout. Crawfish can also be gathered along the banks of the river. There is a boat launch area for water lovers. Swimming and tubing are also available. The area is known for elk hunting, and the campground makes a great base camp for your hunting party.
Nearby you can explore Mary's Peak and the Rock Creek Wilderness area or escape to the beautiful Cape Perpetua Scenic Area or the nearby beach at Tillicum.
Reservations can be made mid-May through Labor Day weekend for the family campgrounds. (There are no reservations available for day use & boat launch areas) Reservations can be made up to 6 months in advance, but they must be made at least 6 days before your intended arrival date.
