About the Campground

Capps Crossing is located on the North Fork of the Consumnes River at an altitude of 5100ft. A stream runs through the site allowing for some water activities like swimming and fishing. In addition, hiking trails are also nearby and areas for rock climbing. All sites are first-come, first-serve unless the facility is reserved as a group site. Tent Sites: 2, 3, 4, and 5 RV Sites: 1, 6, and 7 Meeting Area: Sites 8 and 9 Reservations can be made up to a year in advance from mid-May to mid-September. Your reservations must be made at least four days in prior to your arrival.

Alerts and Important Information There are first-come, first-serve sites at this campground. All equipment must fit on the site pad. CAUTION: Bears and other wildlife are frequent in this area. All food must be kept in the approved containers. Note: Reserving the Capps Crossing group site entitles the reservation holder to a number of campsites throughout the campground.
