Fishing Tips for Alta Lake
by Blake Jackson
on December 16th
A 100 ha lake Alta Lake offers the best fishery in the valley; rainbow trout, dolly varden, and kokanee salmon are all available in good numbers and average about 2lbs. Because the lake is glacier fed it stays cool throughout the open water season, keeping fishing consistent the whole time. Try fishing the inlets/outlets, the drop offs, and over the deep holes.
