Antelope Flat Reservoir near Prineville, Oregon
Antelope Flat Reservoirs water levels often are drawn down to about half of their prior depth in the summer. So as the season progresses trout will be forced to move inward, so fish accordingly. To catch Rainbow look in semi shallow to mid depth locations (be aware of oxygen content and water clarity) with possible cover and bottom structure (drop offs, access to a pool, etc). Use wet or dry flies of the most populated hatch or mid size streamers if you are fly fishing. Otherwise floating or lightweight jig's with bait, skirting or plastics, inline spoons or small, longer plugs will be the ticket. Enjoy fishing.
