Austin Creek near Appomattox, Virginia
Austin Creek has been expanded a few times to allow the Coho salmon in the area to spawn and live better without becoming trapped within the creek. During the colder months, if they had no where to go they would get trapped and then froze. Fishing in these waters is easy since there are many Coho salmon swimming around. The juveniles are smaller in size and silver, while they get older they become much larger.
