Rainbow Trout

on April 8th

I was out fishing the points and drop offs last year. I started out throwing spoons and crankbaits, but I only picked up a few small ones. Then, I switched over to a jig tipped with live bait (soft plastics when I ran out) and caught a whole bunch of 12-16 inch trout! It was crazy. For a while it was almost every cast. I LOVE THIS LAKE! These are only the ones I kept. I released several times what is in that picture.

If you are into exploring little known lakes you might want to check out Blythe Lake sometime; the lake is rumored to have some big rainbow trout swimming around it but not much else is known about it. Good Luck if you go!
