Located far off the beaten path most tourist follow, the Boulder River offers great fishing with less anglers. The scenery is beautiful too! In fact, A River Runs Through It was filmed here. Summer offers the best fishing. August and September are the two best months. Nymphs work throughout the year. Caddis work early in the summer. Terrestrials come into their stride in August. Sculpin patterns work for big trout. Spinning anglers should try casting Panther Martins, Mepps, and Rooster Tails. Fishing is catch and release only.
