Cedar Bay and P.C Point

on December 28th

Pine Crest Point has a beauty drop off here, the rocky shoreline and deep drop off are a great spot for the steelies and rainbow and bass. Can hook some steelies and rainbows off the bay here running some fly baits, egg lugs, cluster of salmon eggs, larvae and medium sized minnows. Although salmon were once introduced to Lake Erie it didn't take and their numbers are dropping rapidly. However the trout still have a taste for the eggs. The rainbows will be in the same area hitting on the same baits. Only had a few steelies come outta this area, but its a great spot nonetheless. The bay doesn't run to deep, somewhere around 12 metres or something, so the fish will be around the 8 metre mark. I posted a pic of Pine Crest Point below and would drop some lines onto the surface around there, create some movement and they should be popping within 10 minutes or so, if not, try the shorelines for bass and perch.
