Cedar Lake near Cedar Rapids, Iowa
There's a surprising amount of water flow through the center to the north and south end of this lake with long shallow areas along the east and west. It makes it very easy to target channel catfish and occasionally we also get some bullheads. A treble hook catfish lure and some dip bait almost never fails once you find the places you can cast into the deeper water. Through the shallow areas or right under the bridges bluegill, sunfish, and crappie are generally easy to catch with basic hook, bobber, and live bait.
