Fishing Tips for Christopher Creek

on March 22nd

If you want 7 miles worth of quint fishing that attracts everything from pros to kids looking for their first trout. This is a Tom Sawyer and Huck Fin creek if I have ever seen one. The downside to that is fishing pressure is high most of the year. The best time to fish here is late spring and fall. Fishing pressure decreases in the summer so you might want to consider fishing during the summer months. You can fish here in winter but stocking ends in September so catch rates at low. Power bait and worms work really well in most parts of the creek. In deep pools try fishing with tiny spinners like Mepps and small crankbaits. If you are a fly angler consider tossing Wooly Buggers and Wooly Adams. Another cool way to fish this creek is to fish with grasshoppers and worms attached to a cane pole. Just toss the bait out into the current and let in carry your bait right into the mouth of a waiting trout. Tight Lines!
