Bass can be caught right now on shallow crankbaits and jerk baits right now in the pre-spawn as the bass are headed shallow to stock up for the spawn. Crappie can be caught on minnows near brush piles and fallen trees. Catfish can be caught on live and cut shad fished near shallow and deep cover.

Largemouth, spotted and striped bass are all here in great numbers. Crappie and bluegill are very numerous also. The tailwaters are where you find the huge catfish and striped bass. Live bait is best for the striped bass while cut bait is best for the catfish.
