Deerfield River near Turners Falls, Massachusetts
John D got the fishing tips right but he did miss one thing you might find important. Every morning at about mid-morning a whole lot of water is released from the dam to help with the commercial rafting operations. In fact enough water is released that it raises the water levels a few feet until the midafternoon. The surge does not bother the trout too much but you have to be careful you are not wading or on the other side of the river when it happens. Other than that John D covered everything. Good luck fishing!
