Dukes Creek

on July 4th

One of the best public fishing creeks in the state, Dukes Creek offers excellent fishing for brown and rainbow trout. Most of the fish are 12-18 inches, but trout up to 26 inches have been caught. The upper ends of the creek are predominantly rainbow trout. The deep pools in the lower parts of the creek are where the brown trout like to hang out. Anglers are restricted to barbless artificials. The usual models and sizes work well, but upsizing to catch the huge fish in this creek is not a bad idea. Fly fishing is also good here. Wading is easy. Remember, anything you catch must be released per the regulations.
