Fishing Tips for the Delaware River

on December 6th

Even though the Delaware River is only a few hours from some of the highest populated cities in the country the fishing here is good enough some people that fish here compare it to famous rivers out west. The fishing is like that in part because of the forage base, there is so much food here that some people say there is not a stream on the east coast with more. I do not have many fishing tips but they might help you so here they are. The first one is that the trout like to spawn in the feeder creeks so I recommend fishing there during that time. The other one is that even when the water is really flowing fish prefer to be in the back channels or in the still water behind islands. Remember if you are having difficulty wading you should fish somewhere with less current. Good luck fishing!
