Fishing Tips for Echo Lake

on February 18th

Located 6 miles north of Seattle off Highway 99 12 acre Echo Lake has a small park on its shore that provides some shore fishing and a launch for car toppers. The lake itself offers nice rainbow trout and yellow perch. The bad news is the lake faces quite a big of fishing pressure due to its proximity to a large urban area. In order to constantly catch fish I recommend fishing out of a boat and using slightly different baits or techniques to set yourself apart from the crowd. Instead of using the tradition Rapala deep diver or little cleo spoon maybe try fishing a shallow running twitch bait, a daredevil or a jigs tipped with soft plastics or bait. Good Luck!
