Named for an Ojibwe chieftain, Eels Lake is home to a very nice fishery. Expect lots of smallmouth bass that average 1 kg, good numbers of wild lake trout up to 10.9 kg, 4.5 kg walleyes, and lots of "keeper" perch. The nice thing about Eels Lake is that there really are no special tricks to fishing here, the usual lures work just fine at the usual spots.
