Elk River near Charleston, West Virginia
This is a great river for small boats without large gas motors. You can expect to have the best of the best when it comes to smaller fish such as sunfish, perch and bluegills. I was also able to catch some brown trout throughout the river towards the middle sections, and the bends where it is deeper and the waters are cooler.
