Awesome Largemouth fishing in Erie Lake (BC)

on May 25th

Outstanding Largemouth Bass fishing – some of the best in the BC interior. If you’re an experinced angler expect 25+ bass per day in the 1lb to 2.5lb range. For best results we fish the weedy areas of the lake. In colder months (prior to spawning) we work the shallow waters. In spring, the bass focus on the spawning beds. As always catch and release is recommended. I’ve heard mention of a 6lb largemouth being caught in this lake but the biggest I’ve seen firsthand is a 4lb 8oz bass. I used the advice of a fellow angler and have had best results with buzzbaits, rubber worms, or crankabits dependent on light and temps. One thing to remember is that the boat launch lacks a lot to be desired of your trailered your boat so lighter weight options that can be carried in are the best bet.
