Fletcher Creek near Molino, Florida
Eight train cars derailed today near the small northwest Florida community of McDavid, located along U.S.
29 north of Pensacola, possibly leaking hazardous
materials. According to Escambia County (Fla.) public information officer Sarah Rachfal, multiple cars landed in Fletcher Creek and Hazmat crews were on the scene but had not determined exactly what was in the tanker cars that derailed, or if the cars were leaking. They believe the cars contained some type of hazardous material but would not confirm what kind. Occupants of 12 homes on nearby Cotton Lake Road were voluntarily evacuated to nearby Molino, Fla. Rachfal said it had not been determined if weather was a factor in the derailment. http://hisz.rsoe.hu/alertmap/site/?pageid=event_desc&edis_id=VI-20140129-42492-USA
