Bass can be caught right now on shallow crankbaits and jerk baits right now in the pre-spawn as the bass are headed shallow to stock up for the spawn. Catfish can be caught on live and cut shad fished near shallow and deep cover. Crappie can be caught on minnows near brush piles and fallen trees.

Bass, crappie, and bluegill can all be found in the sloughs and backwaters here. Bass are caught with an assortment of lures here. You just have to find their pattern. Catfish and striped bass are found regularly in the tailwaters with live and cut bait.
