Fishing Tips for Garibaldi Lake

on December 16th

For the ruffly 4 months Garibaldi Lake is ice free the rainbow trout that make up the fishery feed so vigorously the bait, lure or technique you are using doesn't really matter. The trout average about 11 inches but fish up to 23 inches have been caught. Because this lake is so deep (259m) the trout can usually be found near the shorelines so shore anglers are in luck. Those of you who are in good shape could benefit by bringing a float tube on the 9k hike because it allows you to fish more of the lake. The shallower western end of the lake is the most productive spot. Good Luck Fishign!
