Crappie are fair on minnows and jigs.
Location Details
Species Caught: Crappie
Catfish excellent on cut shad at 10-30 ft. on the north end of the lake around Sailboat Bridge area. Catfish being caught at 40-70 ft. in winter pattern on ledges. Bass good on Alabama rigs, jigs and jerk baits around secondary points in mid-lake to the dam.
Bass fair on rubber worms and crankbaits fished near shallow cover. White bass slow. Catfish good. Crappie good on minnows and jigs at 15-20 ft. Paddlefish fair on cut bait.
White bass have made a major come back here lately. Limits have been caught daily here. If you can find them on your fish finder, throw a grub and swim it through them. If you are looking for crappie, Honey Creek bridge is where they are at. The crappie are also on the main lake around docks and piers. Good luck!
