i got the hog from the hole.

on March 25th

I went out tonight and the place was deserted. The water was so clear you couldn't even see it! Just something that looked like a hole in the ground. I reared back and grasped my rod tightly with my right hand. I gave it a little shake to make sure the tip was good and ready for some deep action. Usually I approach the bottom with a gentle flick of the wrist. Twisting just the right amount to give that worm a solid shot in the Hog Hole. Today was just like the days before. I felt it coming. A twitch at first. Then a full on throb. My rod was curved even more than usual. This was exactly what I'd been fishing for. I wasn't about to let it get away from me. And so, after a huge fight the deed was done. A grand release, albeit a bit messy! After that, I put on my robe and wizard's hat and walked away.
