many good present here

on October 23rd

Horsetail Lake is a great small lake for fishermen. Over the past 30 years it has produced nice catch after catch. Most recently 3 rainbow trout, handful of black crappie and yellow perch made it a perfect day. I have caught no less than 7 species here. As many as 6 in one visit. In my top five for CCFP lakes for sure!

Just Not Biting Yet

on April 22nd

Been fishing Horsetail for 2 weeks now, nearly every day and time. Only caught bluegills, although every time I have seen a few bass jumping. I'm really disappointed with this lake.

Horsetail is a good small lake

on January 25th

I fished by the road with some nightcrawlers and a spring bobber, caught some rainbow trout all about 10-15 inches. The are small but give a good fight. I will explore more spots here and target bigger trout if there is big ones in there.
