Actually, there are good size smallmouth bass in Indian Pond, along with pickerel. I have caught many smallies with plastics, crankbaits, chatterbait, spinner bait.

Getting overcrowded

on July 4th

A small pond, which can't support its growing popularity. The good spots usually have 2-3 boats splashing about them.

Smallmouth Bass & hornedpout

on October 23rd

The description above fails to mention smallmouth bass. As a child in the 1940s I caught vast numbers of yellow petrch and pickerel. Now it's mostly all bass.The perch weeed beds are no more. In 69+ years of fishing this pond I caught but one bull head(hornedpout, or cat fish).
