The other day me and a Buddy Fished a small lake just on the outskirts of bentonville. Located in Northwest arkansas. Apon Arrival we noticed there was no place that stated public parking. But we Where fortunate enough to find a couple spaces to park near a nearby residential cabin like home. We packed our tackle and poles as usual, and walked down to the pond. Arriving at the pond we were shocked at just how much smaller it looked than the picture on Google Maps. We also noticed very quickly a strong and distinct rank smell of what smelt like geese feces. It was so bad it almost made me stop and turn around. But Eager to fish a new pond we proceeded towards the pond. When we got to the edges of the pond we noticed the water was extremely low, and there was a lot of small piles of thick green vegetation. Making fishing an extremely difficult task, Because of the annoyance of cleaning your hook every cast. My buddy and I were Pursuing The Family of Bass ( Brown, Largemouth, And spotted). Yet After about 15 min of trying we simply gave up and left. No fish were caught. Did not seem too see any lingering or suspended Bass. But we were able to spot A small group of small fish classified as bream. We packed up And trekked back to the truck and went to fish another nearby pond.
