Jackson Lake near Farmington, New Mexico
I went fishing this morning at Jackson lake, lake was clam and high clouds. It had rained the night before and it was about 50 degrees and around 9am. I caught & released 12 rainbow trout in 1 hour using 1/16 rooster tail spinner. Barbless and red tail, body was chrome and very shiny. At first, I used dark colored spinners with no luck, then went to a bee pattern fly...no luck. Finally used a chrome and red rooster tail and they were biting for that. The rainbows were pan sized, from about 8" to 14". It was awesome! No one was there and I had the whole lake to myself!
