Spring and fall is the best time to fish are the stocked rainbows and big browns that make Kens Lake home. Minnow imitating crankbaits, swimbaits, bait, or big wet flies work the best for them. If trout are not your thing you can also find nice largemouth bass in Kens. In the spring they can be found near gravel or flat rocks, with for them with soft plastics, spinnerbaits, or jig-n-pigs. In the summer, the bass can be found on the weed edges and along points. Topwaters, crankbaits, swimbaits, and weedless jigs work the best during that time of the year. Bluegill are also found in the lake and can be found about where the largemouth bass like to hang out. They can be caught with anything live bait.
