If you are in this part of IL and you want to fish muskies you should definitely try fishing Kinkaid Lake. Along with the muskies are also nice bass, big catfish, and way above average panfish. Early in the year try any of the many shallow bays. Feeder creeks, fallen trees, and new weed beds are also good spots to fish. Latter in the year it's a good idea to fish drop offs, weed lines, fallen trees, and near the shad schools. Try using crank baits, live bait, spinners, and soft plastics. Good luck fishing!
