Kiser Lake near Saint Paris, Ohio
Originally dammed all the way back in 1840, today Kiser Lake isn't used to power the newfangled gristmill anymore but it does offer a strong, underutilized population of stocked hybrid striped bass and regular striped bass that average about 26 inches. You can also find lots of nice panfish swimming around. The other species in the lake are only available in low numbers and small sizes so they aren't worth fishing for. I recommend fishing the old river channels, the fish attractors, and the weedlines with crankbaits, jigs, live bait, soft plastics, or spoons. Have Fun!
